Below steps are my guide to creating successful membership sites.

STEPS:
1.    Find 15 to 30 niches/ideas for membership sites
2.    Get the tools you need
3.    Create your first membership site
4.    Create a backend product for your membership site customers
5.    Advertise
6.    Repeat the process 15 to 30 times quickly

Find around 100 people for each membership website (monthly paying customers + customers who will purchase your backend products).

Find lots of ideas/niches
See what is already selling, the best places for this are Clickbank, Amazon, Magazines.com…
Stay away from niches like “how to get ex back” and “make money” niches
Good niches are sports, travel, hobbies, health…

STEP 2
Tools
you will need:
- reseller hosting
- domain names
- clickbank account
- membership ease
- autoresponder
- camtasia (optional)

STEP 3
Creating your first site
- hot topic
- give people goals to achieve
- make your site easy to navigate and manage
- create content upfront (5-10 small reports)
- write a sales letter
- capture email addresses
- add forum to membership area (for members to share tips)

- create content every couple of days (like each week one step)
- sign up for autoresponder for the next 30 days, 90 days…

STEP 4
Backend products
Sell access to your membership site for $9.95/month and your backend product for $47 (more money, less work in finding customers for monthly membersip).
Advertise your backend product to your monthly paying customers.

STEP 5
Advertise
- article marketing
- forum marketing
- ezine advertising
- forum advertising (text links)

STEP 6
Repeat the whole process, building 1 site a week
Keep records of traffic, sales, how many people you have on your list, conversion rates, advertising, monthly revenue – print screen everything. Create a central help desk.

HOW TO MAKE MORE MONEY FROM YOUR MEMBERSHIP SITES:
-    The idea is to create membership sites that can earn money without much work
-    Make as much money as you can from these sites
-    Sell lifetime access to your membership sites (example: 20 slots for $97 – instant cash)
-    Cross promote them if they are similar
-    Promote other Clickbank products in membership area

Selling

Have screenshots of everything, make your listing appealing, work with new owners. Sell through Escrow and never give your sites before the new owner pays you.
